This paper addresses the four key areas under negotiation at the 15th Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC COP 15) in Copenhagen — mitigation, adaptation, finance and technology transfers/capacity building — providing an African perspective on the issues at stake and the positions advanced by various parties.
