CIRAD, FARA, CTA and the external advisor, Dr. Amir Kassam are represented on the SC. The project, now at its final stage, aims to deliver a comprehensive and critical assessment of successful innovations in dryland Africa and to propose policy options for increasing investments for sustainable agricultural development. Fourteen postgraduate students attached to CIRAD and University of Nairobi, Kenya; Bunda College, Malawi; AGHRYMET and University of Niamey, Niger and Makerere University, Uganda are expected to complete their degrees through the project.
